Adam Kinzinger has had it with the boneheaded billionaire supporters that mindlessly follow the words of their overlords like sheep. In a bizarre exchange on X (or should I say Twitter) Kinzinger responded to an individual who took it upon themself to correct him when he referred to X as Twitter. The person rather smugly informed Kinzinger, “It’s not called Twitter. Hasn’t for years.” To which the politician responded by repeatedly writing “Twitter.” Twitter Twitter Twitter Twitter times infinity https://t.co/9iRSgDcPEq— Adam Kinzinger (Slava Ukraini) (@AdamKinzinger) August 26, 2025 Is it a slightly immature response? Yes. But is it funny? Also yes. The person correcting Kinzinger chose the immature path when they decided not to engage with any of the actual points he had made in his initial tweet. This is sadly how many conversations and debates online play out. Focusing on an inconsequential detail rather than the broader argument the other side is making. Plenty of other netizens chimed in with similar responses. Some just wrote “Twitter” repeatedly while others claimed that it would always be Twitter to them. Adam Kinzinger is tired of overblown egos Evidently Kinzinger is done trying to reason with people that aren’t willing to engage with him in good faith. His response echoes how a lot of people feel about Elon Musk’s decision to change the iconic name of the social media site to something he no doubt thought was edgy and cool. A lot of Musk’s changes to the site have only made it worse, but the name change will forever be a point of contention. Although it’s been X for over two years now, in our hearts it still is, and always will be, Twitter. In a separate response, Kinzinger wrote, “You are part of the sheeple following that the man tells you to follow,” implying that the individual, much like most Trump and Musk supporters, is blindly following the words of their leader rather than thinking for themselves. It may sound like a rather banal argument but insisting on others calling the site X indicates a strong loyalty to Musk and his ego. It wouldn’t be surprising to find out that this account is a puppet account for Elon himself. While Musk has since distanced himself from the president, we can’t forget he is still one of the overblown egos that helped get Trump into office. His devoted followers seem to lack any critical thinking of their own and simply wait for their overlord to speak before forming an opinion on something which is how a lot of MAGAs operate too. Kinzinger’s initial post was an observation on how “MAGA complain about every minor inconvenience or discomfort,” and the response he got was someone complaining about something very minor in his tweet. In a way it just proves his point about MAGA complaining about anything and everything.
