SCR GM cautions staff about trespassing at level crossings

South Central Railways (SCR) GM Sanjay Kumar Srivastava has cautioned his staff about the traffic movement at the non-interlocking level crossing gates across the zone and urged them to provide ‘voice loggers’ for adherence of all safety procedures.During the weekly safety review meeting held at the Rail Nilayam on Monday, he said trespassing of vehicles at these points is hazardous to train movement, hence recording of audio conversations between various sources could help in performance evaluation.Monitoring of all vulnerable locations and regular counselling on trespassing should be taken up. He also gave away ‘Employee of the Month’ safety awards to 11 employees – four each from Guntur and Vijayawada divisions, two from Hyderabad division and one from the Guntakal division.The employees belong to various safety categories like loco pilots, points woman, gateman and train manager etc. The GM congratulated them and also asked his staff to be vigilant on the banned/prohibited items and special package while booking of sensitive items, said a press release.Published - August 26, 2025 12:23 am IST
