A 25-year-old man from West Bengal, who was arrested in a theft case, allegedly attempted to escape from police custody at the Government Medical College Hospital, Kalamassery, on Friday (August 22).Asadullah, who was arrested by the Thrikkakara police, reportedly gave cops the slip when he was taken for a medical examination. He was nabbed from Kangarappady later in the day, police sources said.The man was arrested for allegedly stealing batteries and copper cables from a metro construction site.
