Been homeless now for 4 years. I have never panhandled. Not once. I have utilized food banks dumpsters and networking to ensure my survival. Also worked.....I have had jobs but unfortunately when they find out your situation everything changes. I don't know how people can just sit on their ass and expect people to give then money. I just don't get it. I have been sitting on the ground outside of convenience store or grocery store and folks have walked up and gave me cash.. I took it and was thankful but I never ask for it or as they say FLY A SIGN... is what the group calls it. Panhandlers are a faction of the homeless community. You either are or you arent.
