Earlier this month, Samsung announced that it will open the Android 16-based One UI 8.0 Beta Program not only for older Galaxy Z and Galaxy S series devices but also for the Galaxy A series phones. One of the Galaxy A series devices eligible to get it is the Galaxy A35, and now, the first piece of evidence that the brand may release the new beta software soon has surfaced online.Tarun Vats has spotted the first beta version of Android 16-based One UI 8.0 for the Galaxy A35 on Samsung’s server. The leak arrives right before we approach the official release timeframe of September 2025, suggesting that Samsung is on schedule to roll out the update on time. As you can see in the screenshot below, it carries firmware version A356EXXU5ZYH4. One UI 8 isn’t as big of an update as One UI 7.0. That being said, it offers many new features, including enhanced split-screen view, updated Now Bar with support for more card types, redesigned Quick Share, improved Secure Folder, and New Samsung DeX. You can check out the complete changelog here.It is worth mentioning that Samsung may not offer all those changes to every device. The affordable models, such as the Galaxy A series phones, may miss out on some of the features.
