— ”It is abundantly clear you are NOT ready for leadership”Abdool Aleem Rahim, the President of the Guyana Islamic Trust (GIT) – one of the largest muslim organisations in Guyana – has accused Hana Mohamed of spreading falsehoods and publishing defamatory statements about him on social media, in retaliation for his decision to endorse President Irfaan Ali for a second term in office.See his full response to Hana below, followed by his endorsement of President Ali:Response to Hana Mohamed’s Blatant Lies:Hana Mohamed,It seems that lies and verbal abuse have become your stock-in-trade; the currency with which you hope to propel yourself to power. But how far do you think they will get you?I’ve observed you during this campaign season attempting to bash everyone you hoped or expected to support you, when they voiced their support for someone else. Not even your closest family members were saved from it.You’ve even stooped to the level of peddling baseless lies to achieve your ends, as you did today when you shamelessly posted several lies about me, in an attempt to tarnish my reputation.Firstly, regarding your blatant lie about wife-beating:It’s obvious that, even in your desperation, you took the precaution to preface your lie with ‘allegedly’. You know why? Because you have absolutely no clue about what you’re saying. You just had to clutch at something that would be deemed damaging, so you chose to now repeat a lie that was peddled in your family circle about twenty years ago.But I’m curious to know: weren’t you and your father aware of this ‘allegation’ when he asked me to give marriage advice at your wedding? Or is it only now that it has conveniently become a damning ‘allegation’?Let me make this simple: In this world, talk is cheap, and anyone can get away with baseless accusations. So I’ll demand your evidence regarding the veracity of your accusation when lies will not help; on the Day of Judgement in the court of Allah, The Exalted,. And trust me, not a single soul will be able to provide you with the evidence, nor will your ‘allegedly’ absolve you of blame on that day.Secondly, regarding your lies about the ‘twenty years rent-free’ house:You’ve expressed yourself in a way that would give the impression that your family did a personal favor for me in this regard for 20 years, for which I should have shown gratitude by supporting your political party. So let me make the following clarifications:-Towards the end of 2011, I was offered the house to reside in, as an EMPLOYEE of the Guyana Islamic Trust, by your uncle, the then head of the GIT, bearing in mind that the said house is located on premises that are under the control of the GIT. I vividly remember asking him: what are the expectations regarding my stay here? And he replied that there are none. While I have always expressed my gratitude to your father, there was never a personal agreement between us in that regard. My stay there was as an employee and subsequently the Head, of the GIT.How it suddenly became about rent-free residence in Azrudeen’s grandmother’s house is beyond me.-Additionally, whatever electricity bills were paid in the initial period, were done so under that initial agreement. Since then, I continued to pay every electricity bill until, and even after I left, and I have the bills to prove it!-I remained in that house for approximately 12 years, until I completed construction of my own home, and then I moved out.You have tried to create the false impression of me being there up until now, and for a period of 20 years, rent-free, as a personal favor from your family to me. Each of these is a blatant lie.-Furthermore, if I owe a debt of gratitude to your father, am I obligated to express that gratitude by supporting your political party?Let me remind you that your father, up until recently, was most vociferous in his support for President Ali, and frankly, quite abusive to anyone who did otherwise. Now that you’ve decided to form your own party, is everyone expected to switch loyalties and run after you? Honestly, does the world revolve around your family?Last time I checked, we lived in a free country where everyone had the right to express his view without fear of abuse.Unfortunately, your attitude, if indicative of anything, is indicative of your obsession for control, and total lack of tolerance for any dissenting view. And yet you aspire to governance? How would you ever unite people with this dictatorship attitude? It is abundantly clear that you are NOT READY for leadership!Whatever I said about President Irfaan Ali, I said from personal conviction, based on observation and interaction, and that’s my prerogative. You’re free to disagree, but at least respect my right to my opinion! Finally, you should show some regard for the preservation of your parents’ charitable deeds, and do not squander their potential rewards through the steady stream of insult and abuse you continue to unleash.May Allah ﷻ Forgive us all, aameen.Endorsement:Dr. Mohamed Irfaan Ali – My Choice for President! He is the leader Guyana needs at this juncture, and I endorse him for a second term as President. Why?
