The brewing industry plans a significant investment of Rs 5,500 crore in Uttar Pradesh over the next three years. This includes setting up new breweries and ancillary units like aluminium can and glass production plants. The Brewers' Association of India welcomed the state's progressive excise policy. This policy aims to boost beer consumption and industry growth without impacting tax revenues.
