After rain on Monday evening, Hyderabad received rains on the intervening night of Monday (February 24, 2026) and Tuesday. Thick clouds covered the sky over the city in the morning, a departure from the bright days in the past week. The sun was out intermittently. India Meteorological Department(IMD)-Hyderabad Centre issued alerts on light or moderate rain or thundershowers at 1.18 a.m. and 3.46 a.m. In its bulletin issued Monday afternoon, the city was forecast to be partly covered with clouds for the next 48 hours.. “Light rain or drizzle is likely to occur in parts of the city,” as per the bulletin.While the rain stopped in the city, its extended parts received showers in the morning.
