Disney Announces End of Magic Kingdom Park’s Three Current Parades

With spring break crowds looming, Walt Disney World Resort has announced a change in schedule for the parades and cavalcades at Magic Kingdom Park. Here’s how it could affect your next visit to the Most Magical Place on Earth.Disney Adventure Friends CavalcadeCredit: DisneyThe first change that Magic Kingdom Park guests will notice is to the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade, which currently performs at 10:30 a.m. and 11:45 a.m. With later sunsets approaching, Walt Disney World Resort has confirmed that the procession will switch to evening performances in a few weeks.Beginning on Sunday, March 15, the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade will perform at 5:10 p.m. and 6:25 p.m. It starts in Frontierland, travels through Liberty Square, and down Main Street, U.S.A., to Town Square.Festival of Fantasy ParadeCredit: DisneyAlso beginning on Sunday, March 15, the Festival of Fantasy Parade will perform twice daily at Magic Kingdom Park: at 12:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m. It currently only performs at 3:00 p.m.In instances of inclement weather, Disney may offer the Rainy Day Cavalcade instead. Both the Festival of Fantasy Parade and the Rainy Day Cavalcade begin in Frontierland and end in Town Square, just like the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade.Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away ParadeMagic Kingdom Park’s brand-new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away, performs at 7:45 p.m. most nights, with a second 10:00 p.m. performance on select busy evenings. As the sun sets later and the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade moves into the evening, Walt Disney World Resort is pushing back the nighttime parade.Credit: DisneyBeginning on Sunday, March 8, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away will perform at 8:15 p.m. daily. Second performances are scheduled at 10:30 p.m. from March 12 to March 14.Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away typically travels from the Town Square, up Main Street, U.S.A., past Cinderella Castle, and through Liberty Square, before finishing in Frontierland–the opposite of the Festival of Fantasy Parade and the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade.
