Summerlust Festival Returns With Kim Wilde And Bonnie Tyler Headlining

After the success of previous editions, the SummerLUST Music Festival is set to return to Għaxaq this May with another strong international lineup.Following past performances by global names like Anastacia, Gigi D’Alessio, Chris Norman and Umberto Tozzi, organisers have confirmed a three-day programme for 2026 centred around two major open-air concerts and a 90s-themed finale.The festival kicks off on 15th May at the Għaxaq Grounds with Kim Wilde headlining the opening night.The British pop icon rose to fame with her 1981 hit Kids in America and went on to score global success with songs like You Keep Me Hangin’ On, Cambodia, You Came and Never Trust a Stranger, selling over 30 million records worldwide.Audiences can expect a high-energy set packed with classic hits. Entry will be free, with donations collected in aid of Dar Bjorn, while VIP and seated tickets will be available online.The second major concert will take place on 22nd May, with Welsh rock legend Bonnie Tyler taking the stage.Known for her unmistakable husky voice, Tyler is behind timeless hits including Total Eclipse of the Heart, It’s a Heartache and Holding Out for a Hero. With a career spanning more than five decades, she remains one of the most recognisable voices in pop and rock.Admission will also be free on the night, with donations supporting Dar is-Sebħ.The celebrations will wrap up on 23rd May with the grand finale, SummerLUST 90’s Edition, widely considered Malta’s biggest tribute to 1990s music.The festival is supported by the Malta Tourism Authority, Arts Council Malta and Festivals Malta.Share with someone who you’d go with!•
