Tracy Melon, the rising star behind the hit song Kakana, has revealed that her journey to mainstream recognition was paved with persistence and hard work. While many now know her for this breakthrough single, Tracy says she had already released around ten songs before the hit brought her into the spotlight.Kakana happened after a break of a whole year. I was still performing with a band but had paused studio work because after Nakupenda, I did other songs and even an EP, but none of them broke through.Tracy has a total of 13 recorded songs, with about five currently popular among fans.
