Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off the Meerut Metro and Namo Bharat train and dedicated the full 82-km Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, including newly opened sections in Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. The Regional Rapid Transit System, designed for speeds up to 180 kmph, will connect Delhi with key urban centres like Ghaziabad, Modinagar and Meerut, reducing travel time significantly.
