Literally dealt with this the other day. My co-worker has some furniture that he was looking to sell that he took from his mother's house that he just sold. He was talking to one of our regular customers and she said, "Oh yeah, I know someone who is looking to buy some furniture since she's moving." The other day I answer the phone and I'm getting yammered at about this furniture. My co-worker wasn't in, and she told me about how they talked about picking up some of the pieces, but now everything should be free because this person is a single mom. She told me, "She's a SINGLE MOM and should get it for FREE SHE HAS FIVE KIDS!" I said how I can't get involved, told her when my co-worker would be in next, and they can discuss it amongst themselves. With the snow now, I don't know what's going to go on, although how it went from buying furniture to this lady should get it for free because she's a single parent. I don't know what a person's circumstances are and I have compassion, although it's a huge ask and pretty rude to think that you're entitled to things for free because of 'x' excuse.
