Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 branding feels wrong, here’s why

Wait 5 sec.

Samsung is getting ready to launch its next flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S11 lineup. But I can’t help feeling that the name is a missed opportunity. If Samsung really wanted consistency across its products, it should have called them the Galaxy Tab S25 instead. There’s a clear reason for this. Back in 2020, Samsung released the Galaxy S20 as the successor to the Galaxy S10. The company skipped the Galaxy S11 name altogether. The logic was simple: the year was 2020, and the new name aligned perfectly with that. Since then, the flagship phone series and the year of launch have matched nicely. So why not do the same with the tablets? The Tab S series is now in its 11th year. Instead of sticking with Tab S11, Samsung could have jumped to Tab S25. That would have instantly brought the tablets in line with the Galaxy S smartphones, making the company’s two biggest flagship lineups feel like part of one unified family.Of course, Samsung’s foldables don’t fit this system since they’re only in their seventh generation. But that shouldn’t stop the tablets from syncing up with the phones. After all, phones and tablets serve the same premium audience and often share features, from high-end displays to S Pen support.Calling it the Tab S25 would have been simpler, clearer, and more consistent. Instead, Samsung is sticking with Tab S11, which feels like a step back in branding logic. The devices themselves will no doubt be impressive, but the name leaves me wishing Samsung had taken the same bold leap it once did with its phones. The post Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S11 branding feels wrong, here’s why appeared first on SamMobile.
