The company had initially planned to make 200,000 units of the foldable phone, but has now increased the target to 260,000 units. This step shows that the Galaxy Z Fold 7 is selling faster than what the company expected. So, this is a good problem for Samsung to have.In July, Samsung produced its biggest volume of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 yet, reaching around 1.3 million units. This success continued in August, with Samsung producing 430,000 units, surpassing its initial target by 100,000 units. This production surge indicates strong sales, and the company was forced to increase its production targets for two consecutive months.The report claims that Samsung plans to ship 6.1 million units of foldable phones. They include the Galaxy Z Flip 7, Galaxy Z Flip 7 FE, Galaxy Z Fold 7, the upcoming Galaxy Z TriFold, and some older foldable models. Overall, industry insiders say that sales of the Galaxy Z Fold 7 will surpass 2.4 million units this year, which is higher than Galaxy Z Fold 6's 2.23 million units.Sometime next month, Samsung is expected to unveil its first tri-folding phone. It reportedly has a 6.5-inch cover screen and a 10-inch internal screen.
