I doubt whether they would find someone to fill the position. On the other hand, I actually could imagine that a retired professional who doesn't need the money might volunteer their services because they want to continue to do something meaningful and money isn't what would motivate them. It would depend on whether the non-profit was actually doing good things as the kind of person who could actually do the work would not get involved with something that didn't align with their values and wasn't actually doing anything. I don't think someone would want to do this full time but it doesn't necessarily have to be full time and on site.
