Abigail Faust, a former Hudson, Wisconsin, teacher, is facing new criminal charges in Washington County, Minnesota, related to her alleged sexual assault of a teenager while working as his nanny, according to a criminal complaint viewed by the St. Paul Pioneer Press. This follows previous charges filed against Faust in St. Croix County, Wisconsin, which include sexual misconduct by a school staff member, child enticement, failure to protect a child, and causing mental harm to a child. Faust, 25, resigned from her position as a fifth-grade teacher at Rivercrest Elementary School in May 2024. The nanny charges The new charges in Washington County, Minnesota, accuse Faust of third-degree criminal sexual conduct. According to the complaint, a 16-year-old boy and his parents met with a Washington County sheriff’s deputy on August 22, and the teen stated he had a “sexual relationship with the family’s nanny,” who was identified as Faust. The teen told police that Faust had been his nanny since 2021. The alleged sexual assaults continued for several months, including after Faust’s Wisconsin school-related charges became public. The boy thought they were in an exclusive relationship. He said they discussed having children one day. Police say she simulated sex acts with the boy, and sent the boy explicit photos and messages. During a family trip to Florida, Faust allegedly also sexually assaulted one of the teen’s friends, who was also under the age of 18. According to the criminal complaint, Faust told the boy whom she nannied that she knew it was “bad” and felt “grossed out” by the abuse, but it continued. Faust’s connection to Madison Bergmann A second fifth-grade teacher in Hudson Abigail Faust is now charged with child sex crimes.#CrimesAgainstChildren https://t.co/n77F3YgY7s— SB (@draintheswamps7) August 20, 2025 Faust’s legal troubles began after accusations of her connection to another former Hudson teacher, Madison Bergmann. According to court documents, prosecutors allege that Faust was aware of the inappropriate relationship between her friend Bergmann and a student and failed to report it. Text messages between Bergmann and the student allegedly show them discussing the relationship between Faust and another boy. The school-related charges against Faust also stem from her alleged inappropriate relationship with a 10-year-old male student, referred to as “Victim 2” in court documents. A student aide at Rivercrest Elementary told a detective that Faust was “very close” to the boy, often giggling and flirting with him, and at times holding hands. While the boy initially denied many of the claims, he later revealed to a counselor that Faust had pushed him against a wall after class and kissed him on the lips, forcing him to hug her. In a subsequent police interview, the boy said Faust had kissed him on the cheek. The criminal complaint notes that the boy “never wants to see her again.” As of September 2025, Faust remains jailed in St. Croix County without bail. Her next court date in Wisconsin is scheduled for October 9. The Hudson School District has stated that it has strengthened staff training on professional boundaries with students and has fully cooperated with law enforcement in the matter.
