Lidl Malta presented Puttinu Cares with a whopping €15,000 donation to mark the 15 year milestone as a primary supporter of the walk and Puttinu Cares.Lidl Malta said that this donation reinforces a decade-and-a-half commitment to providing a home away from home for Maltese families and children navigating the challenges of childhood cancer.This year’s Good Friday Night Walk was cancelled due to poor weather conditions, instead the Easter weekend showcased Maltese solidarity on national television through the Puttinu Cares Telethon, where the NGO collected €3.3 million in donations. Angele Cuschieri, President of Puttinu Cares thanked Lidl Malta for the 15 year relationship as she said that thanks to their generosity, many patients and families have received support during some of the most challenging moments of their lives. Owen Micallef, Director of Lidl Malta also described the Good Friday Night Walk is a symbolic event for Malta and that Lidl Malta as socially responsible leaders has a duty to ensure that Puttinu Cares has the resources they need.
