Even au pair have clearly delineated work hours and such, though, and a day off, and their own room and bathroom. And their duties are limited to child care. Families aren't supposed to ask them to also cook and clean for the whole family (but many ask/demand it anyway.) Au pair also certainly don't go with the parents to work at their family business as well.
