If you’re headed to Disneyland Resort anytime soon, you won’t be able to ride Toy Story Midway Mania! at Disney California Adventure Park. The interactive Pixar Pier attraction is scheduled to close for refurbishment on Monday, April 6, and the Southern California Disney vacation destination has not confirmed an opening date.Toy Story Midway Mania! Disney hasn’t shared anything about its plans for the ride, but if it’s anything like most refurbishment projects at the Disney parks, guests likely won’t notice many changes to the experience when it returns.The interactive digital shooter was updated with Disneyland70 targets and graphics last year. That celebration continues through August 9, 2026. However, the Tomorrowland ride is also closing for an indefinite refurbishment beginning April 13, 2026. Similarly, Disneyland Resort has not detailed its plans for the attraction or a reopening timeline.Across the country, Walt Disney World Resort is just three days away from officially reopening its version of the interactive shooter: Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. The Magic Kingdom Park ride closed in August 2025, allowing Walt Disney Imagineers to install new ride vehicles with more accurate handheld blasters, upgraded interactive targets, and a new audio-animatronic robot character named Buddy.
