Three things: Wasn’t that $5000 donated seen as income and taxed? He’s not a charity so it’s not tax free. Why would anyone donate $5/$10/$20 a month to access his magazine when they can buy a subscription for $49 for life? If just a couple of people bought the $49 subscription then he’d still be broke and begging next month.
