Personally i don't know, and i work with flora on a professional level. But my wife is a plant nerd and she LOVES our Monstera, i guess is because it's a sort of hard to mantain plant, but also because it can grow very big with time. If i directly ask my wife the answer is always "cause it's cute" so go figure.
