I won’t. I came into it blind thinking I would be adopting a child. After more education, I know the goal is reunification. I’m from CA. I see it as I am a guardian until there parents are able to take them. Many of these kids want to go home to their parents so I would think of myself as an adult in their lives that can give them security and love even after they go. A sort of family not connected by blood but love. I am good friends is a caseworker and I think the process will go much easier knowing she can walk me through the steps.
