It is the exact same logic. It’s wild when people don’t think so. Yes, it is traumatic for an infant to be taken from their mother. And the entire system of rehoming adopted kids in the US… it all makes me sick. My husband was adopted as an infant and while he loves his parents he agrees it fucks you up from the start.
