Malta’s fertility care landscape continues to evolve as Hope Fertility & IVF Clinic has once again been entrusted with supporting the national IVF programme through a renewed outsourcing collaboration for another two years for the 2026–2027 period. The renewed agreement follows a highly successful previous public private collaboration in which the HOPE clinic treated government-referred patients and achieved remarkable clinical pregnancy outcomes. At HOPE 94% of all patients approaching the unit for treatment with their own eggs, were accepted. Egg and sperm donor programs are also available if clinically required.According to internal outcome data from the programme, patients referred through the government national health system achieved an average clinical pregnancy success rate of 62.4% per treatment cycle during the 2024-2025 period with their own eggs. There is a cumulative successful pregnancy rate of around 75%.To put this into perspective, ESHRE (European Society for Human Reproduction and Embryology) reports that IVF clinical pregnancy rates, per cycle, across Europe were approximately 32.7%. This means the outcomes achieved locally by HOPE clinic were nearly double the European average. This success was equivalent for both outsourced government as well as patients seeking individual private treatment. To date, HOPE Fertility & IVF Clinic has contributed to around 400 babies born or on the way.“This continued trust reflects the dedication of our entire team to delivering high-quality fertility care for patients in Malta,” said Dr Christine Schembri Deguara, Medical Director of the clinic.“Our focus has always been on combining clinical excellence with personalised care, ensuring that every patient receives treatment tailored to their individual needs.”The outsourcing model allows government patients to access advanced fertility treatment within a regulated private clinic environment while maintaining coordination with the national healthcare system.Over the past few years, the collaboration has helped reduce waiting times while expanding treatment capacity for couples seeking assisted reproductive technologies.Hope Fertility & IVF Clinic expressed appreciation for the continued confidence placed in the clinic and reaffirmed its commitment to maintaining high standards of care, transparency and clinical success in this highly regulated Medtech field. The renewed collaboration for 2026–2027 is expected to further strengthen Malta’s fertility services while supporting patients on their journey toward building families.
