Union Home Minister Amit Shah conducted a roadshow in Guwahati. The Bharatiya Janata Party has expelled nine leaders for six years. They contested against officially nominated party candidates. Six other party workers were removed from primary membership. This action comes ahead of the Assam Assembly elections. Polling is scheduled for April 9. Vote counting will take place on May 4.
