Uganda’s entertainment fraternity is mourning the sudden death of Arthur Kanyesigye, a former member of the iconic Obsessions band.Kanyesigye’s passing was confirmed on Thursday morning, March 26, 2026, by close friends. According to a close friend and old boy (OB) from Ntare School, Arthur had not been battling any known illness. He reportedly died in his sleep and was discovered unresponsive at around 7:00 a.m.Arthur Kanyesigye was a member of the original Obsessions band, a group that played a major role in shaping Uganda’s pop and dance music scene.
