Samsung’s next flagship non-foldable smartphone, the Galaxy S27 Ultra, is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro, Qualcomm’s next flagship chipset for mobile devices. A recent leak about it reveals that it may support LPDDR6 memory. If Samsung decides to take advantage of it, the S27 Ultra could be the brand's first phone to feature LPDDR6 RAM. A new report now adds further weight to that claim.On Bluesky, tipster Roland Quandt shared an image stating a few key specifications of an upcoming Qualcomm chipset with the model number SM8975, which widely believed to be the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro. According to it, the processor supports up to 16GB of LPDDR6 memory—echoing earlier leaks—and further indicating that the Galaxy S27 Ultra could be the first phone from the brand to adopt the new RAM standard.Other Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro featuresPrevious leaks surrounding the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro also point to a “2+3+3” CPU configuration. This likely translates to two prime cores, three performance cores, and three efficiency cores. On the graphics side, the chip is said to feature the Adreno 850 GPU paired with 18MB of GMEM (graphics memory).Alongside the Pro variant, Qualcomm is also expected to introduce the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6. It is tipped to use the same CPU layout but at lower clock speeds, feature the Adreno 845 GPU instead of the Adreno 850, and support LPDDR5X memory rather than LPDDR6 RAM.
