Earlier this month, Samsung announced that it is upgrading Samsung Wallet with support for CSA Aliro-based Digital Home Keys. It enables users to store digital keys for compatible smart home door locks in the digital wallet and use them to lock and unlock their homes. Now, the company is rolling out this feature to Samsung Wallet users in Canada.On the Samsung Community forum for Canada, the brand has announced that Samsung Wallet in the country now supports CSA Aliro-based Digital Home Keys. Once users set up or add a compatible smart lock to Samsung SmartThings using Matter, they can add its digital key to Samsung Wallet.After adding the digital key, users can unlock their smart home door lock or unlock in multiple ways: By tapping their phone on the lock (it works over NFC), bringing the device close to the lock (it works over UWB-based proximity detection), or directly through the Samsung Wallet app. Samsung Wallet now supports Aliro Digital Home Keys – Source: Samsung Currently, Aliro-based Digital Home Keys are supported by select smart locks from brands such as Aqara, Nuki, Schlage, and Xthings.
