A one-of-a-kind Via Crucis installation is transforming a quiet street in Gozo into a powerful Easter experience, and it’s all thanks to one man’s dedication.Local creator Joseph Meilaq has set up a detailed Via Crucis in Triq il-Ġnien, bringing to life the full story of the death of Jesus through a series of carefully crafted scenes.Running from 23rd March until 5th April, the installation is open this Wednesday and Thursday from 6:30pm to 9:30pm. On Tuesday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday, it will be open all day.What makes this experience truly special is the level of craftsmanship involved. Nearly everything on display has been handmade by Joseph himself, apart from the statues, after spending hours working on the project daily for an entire month.Visitors can follow a 20-minute narrated journey that guides them through each scene, offering a deeper and more immersive understanding of the Via Crucis.Even better, the display has been designed so it can be viewed from inside a car, making it an ideal outing even in bad weather.With its unique format and heartfelt attention to detail, this Via Crucis is set to become a must-see Easter attraction in Gozo.Tag someone who needs to see this!•
