I’m pretty handy with outdoor pots and plants, and plenty of the smaller indoor plants, but big plants that are really needed to make the space look finished tend not to last more than two years. I’ve tried majesty palms (big fail, multiple times) and larger leafed indoor plants, which tend to last much longer but inevitably start struggling at some point with drying out, spider mites, or fungus. I could really use some solid recommendations for the right soil and nutrients. Are grow lights legit and helpful? Soil-moisture meters? Instagram is trying to sell me so many things, I need help knowing what’s useful. N.M.
