Israeli military estimates that 85% of Hezbollah’s pre-October 7 arsenal of missiles and rockets has been expended or destroyed – but the Iranian-backed terror group still has as many as 13,000 projectiles left.By World Israel News StaffThe Iranian-backed Hezbollah terror organization has expended or lost roughly six-sevenths of its arsenal of missiles and rockets over the past two and a half years, Israel estimates, though the radical Shi’ite group still has thousands of projectiles left.Prior to Hezbollah attacks on Israel in the immediate aftermath of the Hamas invasion of October 7, 2023, the Lebanese group had as many as 80,000 missiles and rockets in its possession; a weapons stockpile built up over decades with the help of Iran.Since October, 2023, however, that reserve has been depleted, with roughly 85% of Hezbollah’s pre-war arsenal either destroyed or used in attacks on Israel.According to an Israeli official who spoke with The Wall Street Journal, the IDF now believes Hezbollah has somewhere between 11,000 and 13,000 rockets and missiles left. That figure represents a roughly 50% drop since the start of the most recent round of fighting between Israel and Hezbollah, according to estimates by the Alma Center security think tank. While the Iranian proxy did not immediately join in the attacks on Israel at the start of the war on February 28, three days later Hezbollah terrorists launched a barrage of rockets and drones on northern Israel, ending the shaky November 2024 truce and sparking a full-scale Israeli counterattack.Since then, Hezbollah has launched multiple barrages against northern and central Israel every day.The Alma Center, which estimated Hezbollah’s pre-October, 2023 arsenal at around 75,000 projectiles, says that prior to February 28, the group had 25,000 missiles and rockets left.Despite the decline in Hezbollah’s arsenal, and IDF ground operations in southern Lebanon, missile and rocket attacks on Israel continue.A Hezbollah rocket attack on the northern Israeli town of Margaliot on Tuesday killed 27-year-old Nuriel Dubin, a local youth counselor. Two people were injured in the attack. The post Hezbollah has 13,000 missiles and rockets left in its arsenal – report appeared first on World Israel News.
