Prime Minister Robert Abela has announced several upcoming projects aimed at enhancing healthcare and improving quality of life for Maltese families. In an interview with Massimo Axisa, Abela detailed strategic investments in the health sector, including the construction of a new Emergency Department at Mater Dei Hospital, a mental health hospital adjoining Mater Dei, and a 300-bed intermediate care hospital at St Vincent de Paule according to TVM News. These initiatives are expected to improve patient care and alleviate pressure on existing facilities, keeping the patient at the centre of health services.Abela also highlighted steps towards environmental sustainability, notably the electrification of all buses in Gozo, alongside development projects at Manoel Island, Fort Tigné, White Rocks, Fort Campbell and Fort San Salvatore, all scheduled for the near future. The Prime Minister emphasised that the government launches a new environmental project every week and criticised the Opposition for previously claiming no environmental projects were underway, only to now dismiss such initiatives as propaganda. What do you make of this?•
