For the first time since launch, ARC Raiders will be adding new weapons to its roster of guns as part of the anticipated Flashpoint update tomorrow. The two new guns, called Canto and Dolabra, are just a part of what's coming in the update which looks to be the game's most notable and largest yet. Embark Studios says the Canto is an SMG that uses medium ammo, while the Dolabra is a close-quarters energy shotgun that offers "a new way to punch through ARC armor plating" up close.Image via Embark StudiosOn top of the guns, there's also a new deployable device called a Surge Coil that "periodically electrifies its surroundings, shocking anything that drifts into its orbit." Sounds like it will be a lot of fun inside Stella Montis. What are these new guns for, you ask? The new Vaporizer ARC may be a problem you might need them for. It's a new flying ARC that has "devastating laser attacks and idiosyncratic attack patterns," and it can be found around the new ARC Assessor, which is part of the Close Scrutiny map condition.Embark teased Close Scrutiny by saying it's certainly not for the faint-of-heart" and that there's "less loot available around the map," meaning players who want riches will need to loot the mysterious ARC Assessor to make it worth their while.A new project called High Gain Antenna will task players with gathering new resources and "you'll be rewarded for your effort," and the beloved chicken Scrappy is also getting an upgrade with a Feeding Boost mechanic that will increase the types of loot it will collect for you when you give it the right snacks and treats.Image via Embark StudiosThere's even more to the update, including Shredders moving around different maps, crafting improvements, and more when Flashpoint is live in ARC Raiders tomorrow.
