Greed for Money Has Diverted NUP from Kabanje Campaign! DF Publicist Tips Foot Soldiers: FLEE KAVULE BEFORE IT’S TOO LATE TO SAVE THE STRUGGLE

Wait 5 sec.

By Mulengera ReportersMoses Kasibante, the DF party publicist, has come to the conclusion that, whereas majority Bobi Wine Kyagulanyi followers aka foot soldiers genuinely want to see Museveni out of power, their leaders at Kavule long gave up on that dream. He says NUP top leaders are currently preoccupied with pursuit for material wellbeing having given up on the fight to remove Museveni. Kasibante said in an interview with prominent Kampala YouTuber Kwezi Robinson that the evidence for all this lies in the fact that the Museveni government has already spent Shs700m to purchase the official vehicle for whoever will be chosen by Kavule to serve as LoP under the 12th Parliament. To him, this indicates that Gen Museveni has realized the weakness of all the leaders in the NUP top echelons, namely extreme fascination for material things, and he is ready to leverage exactly that to consolidate his grip on power. Kasibante said that the leadership at Kavule is eagerly looking forward to the arrival of that posh vehicle, which is calculated to create an overall opposition that is ‘comforted’ by Museveni, who Kavule purports to be working hard to remove. In his viral video clip, Kasibante added that the utterances made at the most recent news conference the NUP Secretary General David Lewis Rubongoya addressed recently at Kavule is indicative of the agenda NUP intends to pursue between now and next elections. “We are supposed to be counting down to Museveni’s swearing in at Kololo and their Secretary General addresses a press conference. His core message indicated that NUP leadership is no longer demanding for their stolen victory [Kabanje] but money. That’s all Rubongoya dwelled on. He made it clear they have arrears under IPOD and even shamelessly said they are going to court top demand for their money. He demanded for money and not their stolen victory. They don’t go to court to demand their victory while demonstrating how their votes were rigged because they say these are Museveni’s courts but when it comes to pursuing the IPOD money, they have no problem dragging Museveni to those very same courts,” Kasibante said contrasting with deliberate disruptions the opposition used to proclaim on the eve of Gen Museveni’s swearing in ceremonies in the past years when Dr. Kizza Besigye used to be at the helm of the opposition politics. “The opposition we have today is very weak and to unprecedented levels. Uganda has never had such an indolent opposition.” He called on foot soldiers to realize, before it’s too late, that Kyagulanyi’s version of the struggle was about seeking personal aggrandizement, comfort and fortune, which is why they must all decamp and find a way to come together with other Ugandans who are genuinely seeking political change as opposed to NUP leaders whose agenda is now clearly about seeking IPOD-related financial arrears. Kasibante said that, as a veteran of the anti-Museveni struggle, he feels sorry for the millions of foot soldiers who are genuinely seeking political regime change but were unfortunately duped into believing that Kyagulanyi (now in hiding) had what it takes to lead them to the promised land. He advises such innocent Ugandans to humble themselves and come to the painful realization that they were simply conned and begin to reorganize themselves afresh to have a genuine anti-Museveni struggle or risk enduring the Museveni dynasty that could last for 100 years and more.
