Petrol, diesel prices today: The government has reduced excise duties for petrol and diesel by Rs 10 per litre each, bringing the centre-imposed taxes down to Rs 3 per litre of petrol and making it zero for diesel. But experts indicate that the fuel rates in the country might not come down as oil marketing companies will absorb the costs amid the ongoing West Asia conflict.
