In a case of alleged negligence, Kalyan civic officials in Maharashtra sealed a house from the outside to recover property taxes, leaving an ailing woman trapped inside for nearly six hours. Despite residents' warning the recovery team about the woman, the officials reportedly continued their action and only unsealed the property after the owner intervened.
