I have a Samsung S23 that I purchased on Amazon as a renewed factory unlocked device. It works fine and I was easily able to connect to Consumer Cellular as a service provider. It is currently running Android 14. Recently I discovered that Android 15 and 16 is available for this model. After posting on the Samsung community about why this phone has not been upgraded I was told that this phone was originally a Verizon phone.
