Bayern Munich full-back Alphonso Davies could be available in the summer transfer window with Manchester United one of the clubs interested.Davies has been immense for Bayern since his breakout season in 2019/20 and supported the team with 34 assists and 14 goals in 239 appearances.Davies has assisted two goals in all competitions this seasonGettyHe has won six Bundesliga titles during his career with the German giants and became the first Canadian to win the Champions League crown in 2019/20.However, this season Davies has only made eight league appearances due to multiple injuries.Last season, he suffered a cruciate ligament tear which seen him miss 29 games in a row. Since returning this year he has been sidelined on four separate occasions. The 25-year-old only signed a new contract with Bayern last season, which runs until 2030.But according to Bayern reporter Christian Falk, the club could consider moving Davies on this summer if any clubs come to the table with a reasonable offer. It is suggested Manchester United are interested in the left-back after they have had their own concerns over squad depth in that specific position.Luke Shaw has experienced a lack of long-term competition in his role at Old Trafford. That’s despite a dreadful injury record which has seen him miss over 330 games since joining Man United. The ex-Southampton player was sat out for the majority of last season with calf and muscle injuries.Additionally, Tyrell Malacia is likely to leave Old Trafford which will leave the versatile Patrick Dorgu as the only option to cover at full-back.Falk told CF Bayern Insider: “It is true, Manchester United are interested in Alphonso Davies. Shaw was England’s first-choice left-back when fit for years – but Tuchel is yet to pick him for EnglandGetty“They were at the table when questions were being asked as to whether he would sign a new contract at Bayern Munich.“They’re still monitoring this player, but he’s, of course, since signed a new contract at the Allianz Arena, so it will be difficult to get him at the moment.“But there are also discussions going on at the club as to whether they need a new back-up player, given all the injuries Davies keeps picking up.“Before, they thought they didn’t need a player on the left-hand side because Hiroki Ito can play there as well.“However, if there were an offer on the table (and don’t forget it cost Bayern a lot of money to extend Davies), there would be a discussion.“But I can say right now that there has yet to be a concrete offer from Manchester United.Alphonso Davies' injuries in 2025/26Fitness, From: 31/10/25 – 08/12/2025 (39 days)Illness, From: 04/01/26 – 15/01/2026 (12 days)Torn muscle fiber, From 22/02/2026 – 09/03/26 (16 days)Hamstring strain, From 11/03/2026 – OngoingDespite the lack of games played this season, Davies is on his way to a seventh title with BayernGetty“If there’s an offer, perhaps Bayern will consider it, as the injuries keep coming.”Davies can be a world-class player but his consistent injuries are proving to be a headache for the Bundesliga giants.United are looking at him but they are also exploring other options, with reports of interest in Myles Lewis-Skelly from Arsenal.
