The Defence Ministry has greenlit significant procurement deals exceeding ₹2.38 lakh crore, including unmanned strike aircraft and S-400 air defence systems. A major highlight is the acquisition of 60 new military transport aircraft, valued at ₹1 lakh crore, to be manufactured in India with foreign collaboration and a high degree of indigenisation.
