Transport Minister Chris Bonett shared an update on ongoing road works in Żejtun, revealing that a key route connecting the town to Marsascala is set to be completed ahead of schedule.In a video posted to his social media yesterday evening, Bonett said that the entrance road to St Thomas Bay, which links Żejtun to Wied il-Għajn, will open today morning, taking just a month and a half to complete instead of the originally expected two months.He explained that the area has undergone significant changes, with existing structures removed and replaced by a pavement, while two layers of tarmac were laid overnight.The road is expected to open as a two-lane route, replacing what had previously been a bottleneck with one lane going in each direction.Bonett described the project as the first in a series of road infrastructure works being carried out by the government, adding that more similar projects are planned in the coming months.He said the works form part of a broader effort to improve daily life for people in Malta and Gozo by easing traffic and upgrading road networks.What do you make of these road works?Video credits to @chrisbonettmt View this post on Instagram A post shared by Lovin Malta (@lovinmalta)•
