Yeah, it mostly reads like OOP is trying to say: “I’ve got a spare room, I’d like to rent it out, and ideally it’d be someone I actually get along with so we can hang out a bit, rather than just having a total rando in the house.” That’s a pretty reasonable goal. It just feels like she might be older or not super comfortable with online communication, so it comes out a bit… off. A lot of the details, like mentioning the dog, listing hobbies, hoping they’ll share those interests as stuff feel like things she’s been told should be discussed with a potential roommate. But instead of weaving that naturally into a conversation, she’s kind of dumped everything into one big, awkward block, which makes it confusing. Same with the car thing. Wanting a roommate who might be able to give her a lift to the airport or whatever once or twice a year isn’t that wild but the way it’s phrased makes it sound like she’s expecting a personal chauffeur, which changes the vibe completely. So yeah, it’s hard to tell. It could just be someone a bit socially awkward trying (and failing) to sound thorough and friendly… or it could be someone subtly fishing for a live-in helper who also pays rent. The wording just leaves enough ambiguity to make it feel weird.
