Tomorrow Disney Springs Changes Forever, and Guests Are Already Saying Their Goodbyes

Wait 5 sec.

Disney Springs has never been a static place. Since it rebranded from Downtown Disney and began its transformation into the sprawling shopping and dining district it is today, the lineup of stores has shifted, grown, and changed more times than most guests can keep track of. New concepts come in, beloved staples quietly disappear, and the whole place keeps moving forward whether visitors are ready for it or not. Most of the time, those changes happen gradually, with enough lead time that guests can adjust and move on without too much disruption. But every now and then, a closure hits differently, not because the store was the most famous tenant on the property, but because it had been there long enough to become part of the routine. Long enough that regular visitors stopped noticing it was there, right up until the moment it was gone. Francesca’s is one of those stores, and if you have been meaning to stop in one more time, today is your last chance to do it. Tomorrow, March 29, the doors close permanently, and this time they are not coming back.Credit: Erica Lauren, Inside the MagicThis is not a Disney decision. It is a much bigger story playing out across the entire country, and Disney Springs just happens to be one of the addresses caught in the middle of it.What Is Actually HappeningFrancesca’s, the women’s boutique that has operated inside Disney Springs for nearly ten years, is closing all 466 of its physical locations across the United States on March 29, 2026. The company is making a complete exit from traditional retail, shutting down both its in-store and online operations as part of a full liquidation. Every location closes on the same day, which means the Disney Springs store goes dark alongside every other Francesca’s in the country simultaneously.Credit: Erica Lauren, Inside the MagicThe Disney Springs location first opened in May 2016 as part of the district’s expansion, following an announcement earlier that year. The boutique has been a fixture in the shopping lineup for about 10 years, offering women’s clothing alongside accessories such as candles, hats, socks, and mugs. It was never the loudest store in Disney Springs, but it had a loyal following among guests who appreciated having a non-Disney-specific boutique option in the mix. For some visitors, it became a reliable stop, the kind of place you pop into without a plan and walk out with something you did not know you needed. What the Disney Springs Store Looks Like Right NowIf you have walked past Francesca’s in the last week or so, you may have already noticed something is different. The curated displays that typically fill the shelves have been replaced by clearance signage and discounted merchandise. The energy inside feels transitional rather than inviting, which is the particular atmosphere a store gets when it is in its final days and the priority has shifted from selling a lifestyle to moving remaining inventory.Liquidation sales are currently underway, which means today is actually a reasonable time to stop in if you want one last look or one last purchase at a reduced price. The selection will be picked over at this point, but the clearance racks are worth a pass-through if you are already in the area.Credit: Erica Lauren, Inside the MagicWhat Comes Next for That Disney Springs SpaceDisney has not announced what will replace the Francesca’s location, leaving an open question hanging over that corner of Disney Springs. The district has never struggled to fill its retail space for long, and the departure of a ten-year tenant creates exactly the kind of opening that tends to attract something new and worth paying attention to. What that ends up being is anyone’s guess for now, but Disney Springs has a track record of using turnover as an opportunity to bring in concepts that generate genuine excitement. In the meantime, the shopping options that remain at Disney Springs are strong enough that the loss of Francesca’s will not leave guests short on places to spend time and money. World of Disney, Basin, Disney Ever After, Fabletics, Little Words Project, Once Upon a Toy, Tren-D, and UNIQLO are all still there and all worth visiting if you are making a day of it.Today Is the Last Day at Disney SpringsFrancesca’s has been in business for 25 years. The Disney Springs location specifically has been part of the district for a decade. Tomorrow that chapter closes, and unlike a lot of changes at Disney Springs, this one is not leaving any possibility of a return. The company is done with physical retail entirely. If you are visiting Disney Springs today, stop in. The clearance section alone makes it worth a few minutes, and there is something to be said for giving a ten-year tenant a proper sendoff before the space moves on to whatever comes next.Stay tuned for updates on what replaces the Francesca’s space at Disney Springs. The post Tomorrow Disney Springs Changes Forever, and Guests Are Already Saying Their Goodbyes appeared first on Inside the Magic.
