The Bitcoin 54K Short TradeBitcoin / U.S. dollarBITSTAMP:BTCUSDHowToChartThe symmetry in Bitcoin is really astonishing. Why is this? Is it engineered? Algorithms? I don't know, and I don't care. What I do care about is how to profit from it. The first important fact is that price was not able to reach the red L-MLH. That gives us a HAGOPIAN: price should now trade farther in the opposite direction than where it came from, the Centerline (CL). We are currently trading towards the CL, which is correct so far. But will price reach it and jump above? I don't know. What I know for certain is that the pullback we see looks suspiciously similar to the one below the Centerline. A break of the Rectangle would imply lower prices to come. Since the target of the L-MLH has not been reached yet, that would be my target if I were to short Bitcoin on a break of the symmetry Rectangle. However, if price climbs higher and stabilizes above the dotted 1/4 line, chances are very high that we will not turn south again until the Centerline is reached. Markets are living creatures; we never know what they will do next. We can only anticipate or follow a proven system. That’s what I’ll do. I follow Alan Andrews’ 120-year-old Median Lines/Pitchfork with an 80% probability baked in, and I follow the rulebook as best as I can. Wish you all a successful day, Emilio
