Dubin, engaged to be married, was killed in Tuesday’s barrage on civilian communities in northern Israel.By World Israel News StaffA 27-year-old woman from northern Israel was identified by authorities as the victim killed in a Hezbollah rocket attack on Tuesday afternoon.Nuriel Dubin was driving with a friend through the Machnaim Junction near Hatzor HaGlilit when an air raid siren sounded. Following Home Front Command guidelines, the two pulled over to the side of the road and laid down for protection.Moments later, a Hezbollah rocket impacted near them, killing Dubin instantly and lightly wounding her friend.“We arrived at a difficult scene. In a ditch on the side of the road, we found an unconscious woman with severe shrapnel wounds and multiple systemic injuries,” Magen David Adom paramedic Or Neeman said in a media statement.He added that Dubin “had no signs of life, and we were forced to declare her dead at the scene.”Dubin had been engaged to her longtime partner, Yedid, and the couple was planning to marry this coming September.She was raised in Bnei Yehuda in the southern Golan Heights but had recently moved to Margaliot, a community along the Lebanese border that has sustained repeated Hezbollah attacks in recent years.She is survived by her mother, Shoshana; father, Yoram; brother, Aviram; sister, Sapir; and her fiancé, Yedid.According to an obituary published by the Golan Regional Council, Dubin worked as a caregiver at a daycare and as a youth counselor. She was also studying education at Tel Hai College in Kiryat Shmona and served as a combat soldier in the reserves.The attack was part of a broader escalation on Tuesday, during which Hezbollah launched approximately 30 explosive drone and rocket strikes on northern Israel.Shortly after Dubin was killed, Iran launched a ballistic missile that struck Safed, not far from the site of the rocket impact.
