Disney World Bows to Trump Government Order, Makes Park-Wide Change

This week, Walt Disney World Resort implemented a park-wide update in response to an order from United States President Donald Trump. Several guests reported noticing the change at Magic Kingdom Park, EPCOT, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom Theme Park.According to several Inside the Magic readers, Walt Disney World Resort lowered all of its American Flags to half-staff on Wednesday, November 5. As of midday on Tuesday, President Trump ordered all American Flags to fly at half-staff following the death of former Vice President Dick Cheney. American Flags are to be flown at half-staff “through internment,” which is currently unknown.Credit: DisneyThe former ally of President George Bush died on November 3 due to “complications of pneumonia and cardiac and vascular disease,” according to USA TODAY. He was 84.Cheney served as the 46th Vice President from 2001 to 2009, during both of President Bush’s terms. In September, the Central Florida Disney park lowered its American Flags to honor Republican activist Charlie Kirk, who was assassinated while speaking at a college campus in Utah.
