The One UI 8.5 beta program may get delayed, but that doesn’t mean Samsung isn’t making progress behind the scenes. In fact, several One UI 8.5 firmware builds for the Galaxy S25 Ultra have surfaced online over the past few weeks. The update has also been spotted for the Galaxy Z Fold 7, first in September and again this month, suggesting Samsung is actively testing the software for the Fold lineup. Now, there’s fresh evidence that One UI 8.5 development has expanded to Samsung’s clamshell foldables as well. Firmware for the Galaxy Z Flip 7 and the Galaxy Z Flip FE has been spotted on Samsung’s servers by tipster Tarun Vats. The appearance of One UI 8.5 firmware for the Galaxy Z Flip FE is particularly noteworthy. Since the Flip FE uses the same Exynos chip as the Galaxy S24 and S24+, it’s a strong indication that Samsung’s work on One UI 8.5 for last year’s Galaxy S series is also coming along well.Given how quickly Samsung rolled out the One UI 8 update, it was likely aiming to maintain a similar pace with One UI 8.5. However, the reported delay of the Galaxy S26 series may have thrown a wrench in those plans. Still, here’s hoping the next One UI upgrade arrives sooner rather than later. The post One UI 8.5 spotted for two of Samsung’s latest foldables appeared first on SamMobile.
