The Gujarat High Court has granted six-month bail to self-styled godman Asaram. He is serving a life sentence in a 2013 rape case. The court cited his medical condition as the reason for the temporary bail. This follows a similar order from the Rajasthan High Court. Asaram was convicted in January 2023 for raping a woman disciple.
