Firstly, guests need to be prepared to lay down some serious cash. The cost of a Disney vacation has continued to rise steadily over the last five years, with 2025 alone seeing multiple price increases.Walt Disney World can also be pretty overwhelming to newcomers. The resort is made up of four theme parks, Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom, but is also home to an outdoor shopping center, two water parks, and several other recreational areas.Perhaps the biggest hurdle guests face when visiting Disney World is other guests. Walt Disney World is one of the most visited places on earth. Millions of guests travel to the parks each year, meaning the crowds can get quite bad during certain times of the year. This is especially true for Magic Kingdom. Disney’s original Florida theme park is the most popular theme park in the world. Anyone who’s been in the park has felt this fact for real, as general crowd levels in Magic Kingdom can be brutal.Magic Kingdom’s popularity is, in turn, its worst feature, as wait times can reach shocking numbers and prices can skyrocket. But will this issue improve, or is it about to get a lot worse?Credit: DisneyRelated: “Cowgirl in Charge!” New Look at Buzz and Woody’s ‘Toy Story’ Replacement RevealedMagic Kingdom is set to expand in big ways over the next few years. Work is already underway on the park’s new Cars-themed expansion, Piston Peak. Inspired by real-life national parks, Piston Peak will be an outdoor haven for guests to explore, full of new attractions and experiences. The land will be capped off with an “E-ticket” thrill ride, one that appears to be similar to Disneyland’s Radiator Springs Racers.Magic Kingdom is also getting a new Villains Land, something that has been rumored for the park for decades. Not many details have been shared regarding this project, but Disney has teased Villains Land as being one of the biggest, most magical undertakings seen at any of the four parks. All this to say, Magic Kingdom is likely to get even more crowded once all is said and done. Guests are expected to flock to the park in even bigger numbers once Piston Peak and Villains Land open. With bigger crowds come higher price tags, too, meaning by 2027, Magic Kingdom could be busier and more expensive than ever before. The Walt Disney Company announced these changes during its D23 event in August 2024. The show was filled with big announcements affecting everything from Disney’s Animal Kingdom to Disneyland Paris, but Magic Kingdom definitely has the most going on post-D23.While it’s unknown what Walt Disney World will look like in ten or twenty years’ time, guests should prepare to see even higher crowds, longer wait times, and potentially more expensive tickets, at least if history is any indication. How do you feel about Magic Kingdom? The post Magic Kingdom’s Biggest Issue May Get Worse Soon – Here’s Why appeared first on Inside the Magic.
