We have a similar story. ADHD, dyslexia, dysgraphia, dyscalculia and severe depression and anxiety. And as a girl diagnosed in 1992, which was pretty much unheard of at the time, so I didn’t get a lot of support because they didn’t know what to do with me. Lots and lots and lots of summer school. Lots of tutoring. Barely graduated high school. Figured I would just hate life and suffer through it till I die. Spent 4 years at community college. Got serious about the classes I was taking my last year and figured out what I wanted to do. Transferred to my 4 year college of choice with a 2.2 GPA and graduated with a 3.75 GPA. Worked my ass off for it. Extremely proud of it and worked my way up through my career as a freelancer, which isn’t easy with ADHD. If it wasn’t for being born into a very privileged family financially, I wouldn’t have made it here. But it is possible to get there, but you need all the help you can get and then some
